Should I Stay or Should I Go?
Undecided? How To Get Clarity
Sometimes the worst part of a break up, isn’t the break up.
It’s the limbo.
The mental gymnastics.
The endless “maybe it’ll get better” loop that keeps you stuck.
If you’re lying awake wondering whether to walk away, hoping for things to change or waiting for a sign, you’re not alone.
But clarity doesn’t come from waiting. It comes from asking the right questions.
Here are 5 that can help you find a way forward.
1. Are you staying because you want to or out of fear?
Fear of being alone, fear of hurting someone, fear of the unknown can keep you stuck.
If fear wasn’t a factor, what would you choose?
2. Are you being yourself or just keeping the peace?
If you’re walking on eggshells or playing a role to keep things calm, that’s not peace it’s people-pleasing.
Do you feel seen or just tolerated?
3. Do they support your dreams and growth or hold you back?
Are they helping you create the life you want or keeping you from it?
Do they encourage your growth or make you feel stuck?
4. Is there mutual effort or is it all on you?
Are you the one who initiates the hard conversations, does the apologising, the compromising, the fixing?
If you stopped trying so hard would the relationship survive?
5. If your best friend was in this situation what would you tell them?
Sometimes it’s easier to see the truth when we step outside our own story.
Say it out loud like you would to them, then apply that advice to yourself.
You don’t need to decide everything today
But you do need to stop pretending. You can’t move forward until you face how you really feel.
Clarity comes after you get honest.
Not with them.
With you.
